Modular Swiss Alpa 12 technical camera system meets the Sigma fp, an ultra compact full-frame stills & raw video machine.

Created for the Sigma fp due to the function, and especially the form-factor, of the camera. But the fact that the fp was built around the L-mount was also of particular interest.

Adapter

The adapter itself is CNC machined from solid 6061 aluminum, then acid etched, and hard annodized to produce a matte finish for durability and minimal internal reflected light.

ALPA is a Swiss camera company focused on producing beautifully made, high precision, technical cameras and accessories. ALPA's philosophy of "no artificial obsolescence" yields a modular system with the expressed intent of encouraging photographers to combine anything they want, in any way they want.

We wholeheartedly agree. And we decided to take that another step further by creating our own adapter module for the ALPA system and the L-mount.

Creating new possibilities, through new combinations.
Our custom ALPA to L-Mount adapter was designed and developed to allow new combinations of equipment and aid in new image capture possibilities… specifically in the area of architectural "moving images."

This paring not only makes it possible to capture raw video through the exceptional Rodenstock lenses, but it also adds shift and tilt capabilities with any number of lenses when used with any of the ALPA shift-capable cameras and a tilt module (like the ALPA 12 STC shown here).

This makes keystone-corrected video capture, or other specialized in-camera image effects possible.
