A custom all brass base plate for the Leica Q2, with integrated Arcs-Swiss compatible dovetail mount.
Designed and CNC machined in Portland, OR.

Design

Designed and manufactured to perfectly match the profile and contours of the Leica Q2, Q2 Monochrom, and Q2 Reporter to ensure there's no slop or movement when fitted.

Provides added protection, character, and function to your Q2.

Function

Built-in dovetail for Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release. Maintains full access to the battery, battery release leaver, and card-slot door. And keeps the camera sitting upright.

The 1/4"-20 retaining screw is slotted, so there's no need for a specific tool; any coin will work. It has a wide shoulder and a more extended threaded area for maximum engagement and security.
A second 1/4"-20 mounting is incorporated for other accessories when not using the dovetail.

Material

CNC machined from solid brass. A timeless material that will patina naturally and beautifully with age, and pays homage to Leica's history of producing cameras and lenses with brass construction.

Each one is proudly machined and packaged here, by us, in Portland, OR.

Each one is machine engraved with our branding and product-specific code, which identifies the design version, year of manufacture, material, and finish.

Custom dovetail BASEplate for the Leica Q2. Designed and produced in-house, right here in Portland _ OR.

Packaging & Print Collateral

A look at the packaging and supporting print materials designed for the Leica Q2 Baseplate. 

1. Prior to packaging, each baseplate receives a final visual inspection and is wiped with isopropyl alcohol to remove any oils or other contaminates from the machining process.

2. It is then packed (along with the included 1/4-20 screw) in a protective insert that is CNC machined from natural cork.

3. Because the raw brass will patina with handling or exposure to other elements, each one is vacuum-sealed in a hand-labeled black sealer for maximum freshness.

4. And lastly, it’s all wrapped in a branded black outer sleeve of 380gsm Curious Skin, with a white foil stamp and color-coded marking dot for easy identification. The outer sleeve was produced by @riseandshineletterpress
